ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior Research Associate to support the execution of molecular assays and next-generation sequencing (NGS) methods within ArsenalBio. The ideal candidate will have basic lab experience and be familiar with molecular biology assays and NGS.
What You Will Do:
Perform qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS library preparations to support ongoing research projects.Isolate DNA and RNA from a variety of sample types.Learn to use automated liquid handling systems to perform molecular assays and NGS library construction. Maintain an electronic lab notebook, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately, and consistently.Manage own work to accomplish assigned objectives.Under the direction of a manager, execute high-quality, well-controlled experiments. Summarize experimental results and review conclusions with project leaders. Communicate with project leads about project status, significant findings, or critical problem areas.
What Will You Bring:
BS in Biochemistry, Biology, Molecular Biology or related field with 2+ years of relevant research experience in industry or academia.Very good organizational skills with excellent attention to detail. Strong analytical ability.Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in standard procedures. Proficient in basic laboratory techniques (e.g., pipetting, sterile technique, buffer solution preparation, etc.). Direct experience with basic molecular biology techniques.Familiarity with PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, next-generation sequencing platforms, and automated liquid handling systems Familiarity with handling and purifying nucleic acids.Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., GSuite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other productivity tools).Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high-quality resultsBeing self-sufficient but also contribute actively as a team player
