Senior Research Associate, High Throughput Assay Development

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

We are seeking an outstanding Senior Research Associate, High Throughput and Assay Development to join the High Throughput Assay team. The successful candidate is expected to work effectively across the organization to drive the implementation of advanced immunological assays that are robust and scalable.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the High Throughput Assay team in the execution of experiments to build advanced workflows on automated systems, spanning synthetic biology, genome editing, and immunological assays
  • Troubleshoot and document workflows under development
  • Assist lab members in the proper operation of automation instruments
  • Perform other related duties as assigned and based on company needs
  • What You Will Bring:

  • B.A. or B.S. in cell or molecular biology, bioengineering, genomics, immunology, or a related discipline 
  • 2+ years experience in a research setting developing methods on automated systems
  • Passion for improving processes using data-driven decisions
  • The ability to work both independently and in a team to solve challenging problems in a fast-paced work environment
  • Must have experience operating lab automation devices such as liquid handling robots (Labcyte Echo, Biomek, Hamilton STAR, BioTek plate washers, etc.)
  • Experience culturing primary human cells or immune cells preferred
  • Experience with flow cytometry, immunological assays (e.g. ELISA), or genome editing preferred
  • Experience working with a laboratory information management system and electronic lab notebook preferred
  • Experience with coding (python, C#, R, Go, RDMS) preferred
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis and design of experiment (DOE) methodology preferred
  • Working knowledge of quality management systems (IQ/OQ/PQ) preferred
  • Strong organizational and communication skills to keep track of, document, and share scientific work
