The Information Systems (IS) department within ArsenalBio is responsible for partnering with functional business groups in the design, deployment and ongoing support of Information System solutions in support of our corporate mission. The position will work cross-functionally with all members of the organization to ensure that our enterprise applications are providing the required level of value and performance.
The IS group is chartered with designing and deploying the requisite infrastructure to support business system capabilities in a cost-efficient manner. The vision of the IS department is a very lean and nimble internal team that sets the overall IS direction and standards, while leveraging third-party partners to carry out much of the development, deployment, and support of the solutions.
This position will work closely with scientists, engineers and other business partners to mesh technology and processes into tangible, automated solutions. Key objectives of the role will be to work cross-functionally to build, deploy, and support critical applications that support development of next-generation cellular therapies at ArsenalBio. The successful candidate will provide key support and partnership in the deployment and support of a wide range of R&D systems. Success for this position will be measured by key metrics associated with operational efficiency gains, effective cross-functional and cross-application integration, and on-time / on-budget project delivery.
What You Will DoWorks with their business counterpart to support, sustain and, where necessary, lead the technical delivery of solutions to support our R&D efforts, including electronic laboratory notebooks, LIMS, document management systems and CTMSContributes to the 3-year IT roadmap and system inventory, aligning them with the budget processAnalyzes and documents key business requirements and facilitates the delivery of automated solutions in accord with the approved project and enhancement schedulePartners with the Process Development, Manufacturing and Quality organizations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirementsPrepares system configuration and deployment cost estimates, budgets, and schedulesParticipates and leads the evaluation / recommendation of new technologies or capabilities that can be applied across the business.Reviews current status of business system capabilities and prepares recommendations for system improvementsProvides architectural guidance and oversight across projects and technology platforms, ensures guiding principles and technology standards are followedLeads training sessions to support end user onboarding on deployed workflows and software toolsConducts ongoing research into industry and technology trendsEvaluates, summarizes and presents key trends with potential to impact IT capabilitiesPartners with 3rd party vendors to understand and plan for application technology roadmaps and support services
What You Will BringBachelor's degree or equivalent required, MBA or equivalent work experience desiredMinimum 4-6 years’ work experience, preferably within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industryBroad IT management experience, with emphasis on Life Sciences-related systems delivery requiredExperience with the use of SDLC methodologies in project delivery requiredUnderstanding of SOX and GxP controls, experience in an FDA-regulated environment is requiredExperience across Electronic Lab Notebooks (Benchling), Laboratory Information Management Systems, Document Management Systems and CTMS platformsAbility to work directly with business partners and end users to generate consensus around technical directionsAbility to analyze complex business problems and evaluate solutionsAbility to translate complex technical issues into business termsExcellent interpersonal, communication, and business partnering skillsSuperior organization, planning, and project management skillsStrategic mindset with strong analytical foundationAbility to influence and drive continuous improvement across the organizationAbility to facilitate and resolve conflicts at both the project and staff levelAbility to operate in a cross-functional / matrix environmentHigh level of personal integrity consistent with ArsenalBio’s values.
