We are seeking an outstanding Scientist, High Throughput Assay Development to join the High Throughput Assay Development team. The successful candidate is expected to work effectively across the organization to drive the implementation of immunological assays that are robust and scalable.
What You Will Do:Work with the Synthetic Biology, Immunology, Clinical and Product Development teams to define, build, and scale-up (1000+ unique constructs) immunological assays such as cell killing, cytokine release, and repetitive stimulationDrive the deployment of assays and engineering solutions for data generation in the context of research and development in the cell therapy spaceEnable the transition to lab automation for screening workflows on adjacent teamsPerform other related duties as assigned and based on company needs
What You Will Bring:Ph.D. in immunology, cell biology, chemical engineering, molecular biology, biochemistry, bioengineering, or a related discipline with 3+ years developing novel assays in the context of advanced lab automation systemsDeep knowledge of synthetic biology field as well as working knowledge of optimization of mammalian cell culture for screening applicationsExperience with lab automation and high throughput screeningExpert knowledge of experimental design (DOE methodology) and process engineering tools paired with excellence in execution Passion for process optimization and statistical analysis of biological assays to make data-driven decisions on process improvementsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work independently and in a multi-team environment, along with a can-do attitude to solving challenging and exciting problems in a fast-paced work environmentExperience in drug screening, immuno-oncology, biologics, organism engineering or similar applied fieldsStrong working knowledge of phenotypic screening technologies, assay development, molecular biology, high content screening applications, and NGSExperience in engineering robust processes driven by well-understood metrics and performance monitoringExperience with automating data analytics pipelines, such as Spotfire, BI, Splunk, R, python, AWS and/or AirflowExperience in technology transfer, including process documentation, user training, designing effective IQ/OQ/PQExperience working with laboratory information management system and electronic lab notebooks
