We are seeking an Automation Operations Associate to join our team. This role supports a cross-functional team of scientists and engineers to perform large scale experiments with a variety of automation tools and software. The successful candidate will have strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, the ability to prioritize a variety of tasks, learn new technologies quickly, and work independently in a fast-paced environment. This position reports to the Manager, Automation Operations.
What You Will Do:
Run and help scale high-throughput wet-lab experiments using automation.Execute screening experiments to generate reproducible data with clearly defined QC metrics. Perform cell culture and maintenance on primary cell lines. Troubleshoot and document technical issues during execution in collaboration with members of the Automation and High-throughput Assay team.Develop standard operating procedures for high-throughput screening assays as well as semi-automated assays to support research. Perform day-to-day routine equipment maintenance, schedule calibration/preventative maintenance, organize lab operation processes, and support general lab activities of the Automation and High-throughput Assay team. Create consumable kits needed for different processes.Maintain sufficient inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment in the laboratory for performance of duties.Display a high-level of customer service to ensure the scientists and engineers have a positive and productive experience.
