We are looking for a Associate Director, Procurement who is analytical, driven, strategic, and creative. Reporting into the Supply Chain Organization the Procurement leader will drive important procurement activities including identification of suppliers, validation and performance management. In this critical role, you will be part of a cross-functional team working on supporting production start-up activities such as the design, installation, testing, and validation of manufacturing equipment, processes, and the quality approach for this exciting technology. The individual should possess a track record of successful relationship management, great communication skills, strong business and analytical acumen.
In addition, the responsibilities of this role include working with procurement partners to support and oversee manufacturing raw material categories. This is a pivotal and highly visible role that engages with local operations, functions and extended leadership teams on a regular basis.
What You Will Do:Assist in the development of regional category strategies and procurement strategies through strategic sourcing methodologies in order to continuously improve total costs, service and quality for the assigned categories spend in close collaboration with the stakeholdersSupplier Management: performance management of key supplier relationships. Partner with key customers to address team support and performance issues with suppliers, data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value and bring innovation to the businessOwn strategic supplier relationships and influencing strategy, negotiations and contracting, spends management, modeling and cost reduction roadmap execution, supplier financial health, developing and implementing critical material sourcing strategies, supply chain, and sub-supply chain risk reduction strategiesResponsible for the procurment of direct and indirect materialsManages procurement duties, including: vendor sourcing, request for quote (RFQ) preparation, request for proposals (RFP) purchase order terms and condition negotiation, proposal evaluations, and purchasing of cGMP and non-cGMP material, equipment, and servicesSupport and oversee manufacturing raw material categoriesIs accountable for procurement targets set by the Functional HeadSet, allocate and monitor project-specific targetsMaterial planning to support manufacturing operationsManage supplier relations which includes change notifications, contract and price negotiationsImplement and manage supplier key performance indicatorsResearches and aids in the approval of secondary/alternate suppliers to support cGMP manufacturingDevelop material forecasts based on current product bill of materials (BOM) to ensure adequate holding stock at our critical suppliers’ warehousesAids in establishing internal inventory levels as required to support cGMP manufacturingManage non-ERP materials supply and orderingResearches purchasing trends, threats/risks to the supply chain, and develops sourcing and procurement strategies to mitigate risk to the supply chain and ensure business continuityCompletes change control documentation, incident reporting, and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) process in a quality management system
