ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

Arsenal Bio is looking for a Buyer who is analytical, driven, strategic, and creative.  Reporting into the Head of Procurement, the Buyer will support in assessing the financial stability of new suppliers by gathering key supplier financial information, reports such as Duns & Bradstreet and completion of credit applications. The Buyer will support the acquisition of company materials and services, monitor the flow of goods and services in the supply chain to ensure on time delivery. This role will assist in managing supplier relationships and work between supplier and the Supply Chain team to best position Arsenal Bio with fair and reasonable pricing as well as effective timing on delivery of products.  This role is expected to interact with other departments such as: Facilities & Engineering, Finance, Manufacturing and Process Sciences and others as necessary.

What You Will Do:

  • Process purchase requisitions to purchase orders; direct and indirect in the procurement system and in accordance with documented procurement process.
  • Communicates with Management and Stakeholders’ purchase order status; manages orders through completion and inform management about at-risk items
  • Researches and evaluates products and suppliers. Performs value analysis on costs and supplier quotes
  • Responsible for setting up, reviewing, executing, and maintaining vendor contracts in the IronClad contract management system
  • Interacts with suppliers and is responsible for maintaining and enhancing good business relations between Arsenal Bio and suppliers 
  • Work with Accounts Payable and others as necessary to mitigate and clear pending invoicing issues in a timely manner 
  • Builds relationships within the department and with surrounding departments
  • Assist Senior Procurement Specialists in analyzing current inventory supply / demand situation and execute materials purchases as required to maintain proper inventory levels based on analysis.  
  • Other duties as assigned

  • What Will You Bring:

  • Associate Degree AA/AS or commensurate experience preferred
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years relevant experience within procurement
  • Experience in Biotech or pharmaceutical or personalized health care experience or cell and gene therapy manufacturing is desired
  • Knowledge in ERP systems, desirable (SAP, Oracle)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to confidently present complex information to senior executives
  • Demonstrated learning agility, and the ability to improve both yourself and the people around you
