ArsenalBio, a privately held, clinical-stage programmable cell therapy company engineering advanced CAR T therapies for solid tumors, is seeking a talented Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing to work on-site based in our Hayward or South San Francisco office.

The Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing will be responsible to lead the vendor selection process and alliance management services. In this critical role, you will be part of a cross-functional team working on supporting production start-up activities such as the design, installation, testing, and validation of manufacturing equipment, processes, and the quality approach for this exciting technology. The individual will also provide insights, support, and champion the development of Strategic Sourcing methodologies and processes (Category Management), including the development of our Vendor Management Framework.
In addition, the responsibilities of this role include working with procurement partners to support and oversee manufacturing raw material categories. This is a pivotal and highly visible role that engages with local operations, functions and extended leadership teams on a regular basis. This Associate Director, Strategic Sourcing will be an individual contributor position that will transform into leading a team.
What You Will Do:
Develop regional category strategies and procurement strategies through strategic sourcing methodologies in order to continuously improve total costs, service and quality for the assigned categories spend in close collaboration with the stakeholdersSME in procurement/purchasing requirements for ERP implementation of SAP/OracleDefine and manage the forecast and planning process. Establish a robust and integrated demand and supply plan from raw materials to the final drug product Own strategic supplier relationships and influencing strategy, negotiations and contracting, spends management, modeling and cost reduction roadmap execution, supplier financial health, developing and implementing critical material sourcing strategies, supply chain, and sub-supply chain risk reduction strategiesSupport creation of agreements for program level, site level, and enterprise level planning, visibility, and communications, including roles and responsibilities Supplier Management: performance management of key supplier relationships. Partner with key customers to address team support and performance issues with suppliers, data review and analysis, performance management and development and improvement of end-to-end value and bring innovation to the businessSupport and contribute to develop and set up supplier performance metrics for quarterly management KPI reportingWorks closely with Quality and Supply Planning leaders in identifying risks as part of the Strategic Sourcing process, coordinate and develop risk mitigation plans that support business growthSME in procurement/purchasing methodology, requirements and responsible for the purchasing of direct and indirect materials Manages procurement duties, including: vendor sourcing, request for quote (RFQ) preparation, request for proposals (RFP) purchase order terms and condition negotiation, proposal evaluations, and purchasing of cGMP and non-cGMP material, equipment, and servicesLead and aids in the approval of secondary/alternate suppliers to support cGMP manufacturingResearches purchasing trends, threats/risks to the supply chain, and develops sourcing and sourcing strategies to mitigate risk to the supply chain and ensure business continuity Develop business processes and SOPs compliant with GMP, GDP and FDA requirements.Completes change control documentation, incident reporting, and Corrective Action Preventive Action (CAPA) process in a quality management systemWhat Will You Bring:

The estimated base salary offer for the preferred primary location of San Francisco Bay area ranges from $165,700 - $203,000.
Salary ranges for other locations may vary from this range. Base pay offered may vary depending on job related knowledge, experience, education, and location.
