Arsenal seeks a Director, HR Business Partner to support the Technical Operations, Discovery, Medical Sciences and Technology organization. The role will report directly to the Chief People Officer. This is a newly created position that will play an integral role in supporting the growth and development of teams and our employees.
The successful candidate will partner with the CPO on areas such as organizational design, talent management & development, succession planning, performance management, and coaching. The HRBP will also work with the leadership teams to assess the technical skills required to transform the business by doing a workforce gap assessment and skills analysis to determine the appropriate internal development and mobility strategies. This HRBP will also help to drive necessary leadership development and succession initiatives to increase managerial capability and to shift the way employees and managers leverage the HR team through a full partnership model.
This new HR Business Partner will help drive performance of a workforce with a mix of long tenured and new employees. Leading with a positive and inclusive mindset will be a critical focus while partnering with business leadership to advise and support all key activities related to organizational talent, design, and development.

What You Will Do:
Serve as an advisor and partner to business leaders on the development of long term organizational and people strategies required to execute its business objectives; translate workforce needs into talent and development plans; support managers and leaders in building internal capabilities and creating a strong culture aligned with Arsenal’s values.Provide subject matter expertise on organizational effectiveness and change management; partnering with leaders to ensure that actions and plans enable the Arsenal culture to evolve as we rapidly grow the organization.Serves as a coach to both people managers and department leaders on employee hiring, onboarding, engagement, performance management, development, skill development, rewards & recognition, employee relations, and leader effectiveness.Keeps current on external trends, developments, or activities that could impact talent, organizational effectiveness, culture, and leadership development.Partners with senior leadership to provide guidance on organizational change, develop action plans to break down org silos and provide innovative talent solutions proactively to meet the changing demands of the organization.Influences leaders to make changes in organizational structure or processes to support growth within the organization.Manages and resolves Employee Relations (ER) issues through effective and objective investigation processes, ensuring adherence to appropriate employment laws and policies. Also, develops a plan for how ER issues should be handled in the future.Develops and conducts presentations to leaders and managers on a variety of HR subjects.Manage and execute talent management strategies and processes to meet the needs of the overall business strategy.Contribute to the development and execution of HR initiatives and projects including talent planning, DEIB efforts, and feedback cycles.Collaborate with the HR team to analyze trends and metrics, develop performance metrics in partnership with the HR group to assess effectiveness and develop solutions, programs and policies.Supportive role in change management initiatives, helping to ensure thorough and effective planning, communication, execution, and follow-up throughout the organization.Ensure that HR practices remain in compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
What You Will Bring:
B.A. or B.S. required Min. 8 years of HR business partner experience. Experience in various people functions across business units; experience across talent management/acquisition, employee relations, organizational design, inclusion & diversity, and culture is beneficial. Experience within the Pharmaceutical/Biotech industry is preferred. Experience working with leaders at all levels of the organizationExperience in a rapidly growing organization with responsibility for creating solutions and processes where none had existed previously.Demonstrated business acumen and analytical skillsAn excellent communicator, both written and verbal, with the ability to educate and influence through formal and informal communications.Innovative and creative approach to problem solvingHigh level of initiative and ability to quickly resolve problemsSolid organizational skills, including the ability to accomplish demanding timeline objectivesMust have the ability to work at strategic, operational, and tactical levelsKnowledge of federal and state labor law.Strong project management experience and effective organizational skills.Strong facilitation skills
