Senior Research Associate, Preclinical Development (2231-N-615-PCLIN)

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Senior Research Associate to join our Preclinical  Development team. The successful candidate will support the preclinical development of novel adoptive cell therapy products for solid tumors. ​​He/she will be expected to work closely with various teams within ArsenalBio to coordinate tasks and prioritize projects to meet deadlines.

What You Will Do:

  • Perform in vitro cell-based functional assays (cytotoxicity, cytokine, proliferation, etc) for CAR T cell therapeutic candidate selection
  • Design and execute flow cytometry analysis for CAR T cell product characterization
  • Support IND-enabling preclinical studies
  • Design and implement preclinical research studies across multiple pipeline programs in alignment with clinical development of CAR T
  • Assist cross-functional activities for project teams, including hand-offs, data analysis and presenting at project meetings
  • Coordinate tasks across multiple projects, demonstrating prioritization and planning
  • Execute and interpret experiments effectively in line with project timelines and goals

  • What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelors in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences or a related field with 2+ years experience OR Masters in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biological Sciences, knowledge of CAR T cell therapy is a plus; industry experience is preferred
  • Excellent in mammalian cell culture techniques required
  • Experience with multi-colour flow cytometry, panels design and data analysis required
  • Experience with immunological assays such as cytokine/chemokine analysis and cytotoxicity, is highly preferred
  • Proficiency at using data analysis tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills for changing research priorities
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment, coordinate tasks across multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Strong organizational skills, record keeping and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Flexible mind with the ability to think outside the box, creative approach to problem-solving
  • Willingness to accept responsibilities outside of initial job description

  • Preferred Skills:

  • Expertise with CRISPR gene editing and lentiviral transduction workflows and cell engineering
  • Experience in primary T cell culture, cell therapy or gene therapy field
  • Familiarity with basic molecular skills including cloning, PCR and RT-PCR; and automation is a plus
