ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

Our people are our greatest asset, they bring scientific talents in molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, protein chemistry, computational biology, automation, genome engineering, software and other fields to make the future happen now.

We are seeking a talented and motivated Scientist/Sr Scientist to join the Arsenal preclinical development team.  In this role, the successful candidate will work in a highly collaborative team to support the preclinical development for our best-in-class T cell therapy products against solid tumors.  The ideal candidate is an individual who is excited to take on new challenges in a dynamic and highly collaborative environment.

What You Will Do:

  • Support in vitro assay and in vivo model development for preclinical IND-enabling studies
  • Design and execute cell-based functional and biochemical assays to select candidate molecules for clinical development
  • Design and oversee in vivo studies to establish preclinical proof-of-concept activity for efficacy, pharmacodynamic activity, and safety of cell therapy products
  • Design and execute in vitro and ex vivo safety and toxicology studies
  • Analyze, organize and communicate results at different research and cross-functional meetings
  • Author, review and edit non-clinical study reports and technical documents for IND filings
  • Interact with other functions to ensure alignment cross-functionally
  • Provide exceptional scientific leadership and mentor and cross-train other scientists and research associates
  • Contribute to a dynamic, exciting culture that embraces teamwork and innovation
  • What You Will Bring:

  • Advanced degree (Ph.D. or M.D.) with 1+ years of post-doctoral research experience in immunology, cellular and/or tumor biology or a closely related field; industry experience is preferred.
  • A strong background in cancer immunotherapy and human immunology, experience working with engineered T-cells strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise in T-cell functional characterization assays including in vitro cytotoxicity, proliferation, and cytokine measurements.
  • Working knowledge in preclinical development, including in-vitro and in-vivo models, and experience with generating IND-enabling data packages is a plus.
  • Advanced knowledge of more complex synthetic biology highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a fast-paced highly collaborative team environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities
  • Strong organizational and record keeping skills.
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills and the ability to organize and communicate complex data sets in a clear and concise manner to key stakeholders from diverse backgrounds are essential
  • We are committed to hiring the best talent from diverse backgrounds. A diverse workforce engenders richness of thought, creativity and discovery. We invite individuals who embrace intellectual achievement to bring their unique personal and professional journeys and together we will build transformative cell therapies for cancer patients.

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

ArsenalBio was formed by its investors and scientific founders to discover, develop and commercialize curative and safe cellular therapies for patients with life threatening diseases, initially cancer.

We believe the most productive and secure route to achieving this goal is to build scaled platforms of technologies challenged with scientific questions to yield informative data from hypothesis driven, well controlled experiments. These data will inform the design of ambitious, best-in-class, lead compositions. Our leads will be rigorously evaluated and honed until we are convinced our matured leads, called development candidates, can be prepared for testing in needy, and vulnerable patients.

Our products will be designed to speed the transition of cell therapy from hospital-based to outpatient treatments, increasing access to more patients at lower cost to patients, health systems, and insurers.

To achieve this mission, we are building diverse teams of talented, curious, and caring individuals who believe in our mission and our vision to be sustainable in our business plan, our work habits, and our personal lives.

Our values create: a foundation for mutual respect, an engaging harmony from many voices, and unselfish behavior to aid our colleagues.
