Laboratory Manager (2167-N-650-RES)

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

ArsenalBio is seeking a Laboratory Manager to join our Operations Team. Reporting to the Senior Lab Manager, this position will support our science by ensuring our lab environment creates an ideal workspace for our teams, while upholding laboratory safety standards and making sure our employees are trained on best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Clean, organize and maintain multiple labs, benches and fridge/freezers
  • Actively participate in space planning and reorganization
  • Coordinate lab user onboarding and off boarding
  • Assist the Materials Team with periodic inventory and stocking of lab ops materials
  • Assist the Equipment Team with coordination of equipment repairs and maintenance
  • Manage lab inspections including rapidly addressing any issues and violations cited
  • Partner with EHS consultants to ensure that safety takes priority and develop procedures and processes to make sure our labs and employees are operating safely at all times
  • Anticipate and understand the needs of different research teams in order to proactively seek ways to streamline lab processes/workflows
  • Enforce lab upkeep and adherence to good lab practices
  • Any other miscellaneous tasks to improve operational efficiency in the labs

  • What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant laboratory management experience or equivalent bench experience
  • Strong knowledge of laboratory EHS compliance laws and industrial hygiene regulations
  • Knowledge of clinical and/or public health microbiology and general lab practices
  • Knowledge and skill in the application of physical containment requirements for safely working with biohazardous material
  • Experience working with bloodborne pathogens in BSL2 labs 
  • Adept at developing and delivering safety trainings
  • Skillful at driving, managing and maintaining change
  • Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
  • Proficiency using GSuite and other productivity tools 
  • Demonstrate strategic planning and thinking
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize as needed in a start-up environment
  • You can solve problems independently and know when to ask people for help
  • Knowledge of cGMP/FDA regulated industry a plus
