ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments. The Head of People will foster the culture and develop a thoughtful people strategy as the company goes through a time of profound change and growth, partnering closely with the CEO and ArsenalBio’s Scientific Leadership Team (SLT). The person in this role will scale the People organization and oversee all areas of human resources and focus in particular on fostering ArsenalBio’s unique culture through organizational practices, organizational development and design, recruiting, leadership development, change management, total rewards, employee engagement and retention, employee communications, performance management, and HR operations.
Team and Reporting RelationshipThe Head of People will report into Ken Drazan, CEO President, Director and will partner closely with members of the SLT and be a champion for ArsenalBio’s Mission
What You Will Do:Coach, counsel and advise leadership on all people and organizational related issues to create insight and to drive action Design and deliver scalable human resources programs aligned with ArsenalBio’s business objectives and their strong company cultureIn partnership with the leadership team, continue to foster the unique culture that Arsenabio is known for during a time of growth & transformationBuild a world-class HR function through hands-on contributions as a domain expert Partner with the leadership team to develop and deliver effective performance management systems and leadership development programs Assess and lead the total rewards philosophy and function ensuring competitiveness and alignment with the business strategy and cultureOversee talent acquisition and talent management developing and implementing pragmatic best practices that result in attracting and retaining the highest performing employees
What You Bring: 10+ years of progressive HR experience with a BS in Organizational Design/Psychology or the equivalent, an advanced degree preferred.Experience working with a rapidly-growing workplace, as well as a background in teaming with an ambitious and results-oriented executive teamCreative thinking who questions conventional practices and projects a confident demeanor and strong sense of self who welcomes the opportunity to contribute their opinions and influence leaders. Highly self-aware of what she/he can do and gains gratification from. Should be entrepreneurial, analytical, flexible, proactive, and self-sufficient, and not afraid to roll up their sleeves when needed. The ability to understand the big picture and where the company is going. Desire to work in a fast-paced, hard-working and expanding company dealing with complex HR issues Leadership experience working in a fast-paced, start-up environment Strong understanding of biopharmaceutical organization design, management evolution from early R&D through Development and Commercial LaunchExperience with multi-disciplinary biotechnology organizations composed of engineering, computer science, data science, biology, clinical, regulatory, and administrative functionsPresentation skills in verbal and digital form that evidence the ability to provide clarity, tactics, and strategy
