R&D Systems Analyst

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

ArsenalBio is seeking a Senior R&D Systems Analyst to help lead and manage the R&D lab systems. The preferred candidate will work closely with various science and operations functional teams to understand their business processes, investigate and advise on system needs, and implement and support their workflows where necessary. Additionally, the R&D Systems Analyst will contribute to the implementation of technology improvements by identifying operational needs, problems and opportunities that meet regulatory guidelines and industry best practices.

What You Will Do:

  • Serve as a technical partner with science and operations teams to understand their business needs and document their processes, workflows, requirements, and use cases
  • Be the system owner of R&D applications by tracking and prioritizing project requests, implementing/configuring changes per project needs, providing end-user support and training, and driving adoption 
  • Responsible for delivery of projects within internal R&D systems - ensure final product satisfies requirements and meets end-user expectations
  • Document and provide training on system workflows, new features or enhancements. May write standard operating procedures.
  • Work with Software Engineering and Computational Biology teams to ensure seamless data tracking and integration across R&D applications and tools with long term scalability and maintainability in mind
  • Work closely with vendors to address issues and complete required tasks in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify and assist in prioritizing opportunities to streamline business and system processes
  • Identify issues and lead resolution efforts.
  • Share and update stakeholders on relevant new releases and features on R&D applications 
  • Participate in vendor evaluations, demos, and selection process. Lead implementation, launch, and support 3rd party software solutions 
  • Participate and execute on assigned projects and OKRs from start to completion
  • What You Will Bring:

  • B.S. in computer science, information systems or related field (or 5+ years of relevant experience in a similar role)
  • 3+ years of direct experience with implementing/configuring and supporting R&D systems (electronic lab notebooks (ELN), laboratory information management systems (LIMS), sample management)
  • 2+ years of direct experience with managing projects through software development lifecycle
  • 1+ year experience with scripting languages SQL and JSON (Python and R are a plus)
  • Strong desire to engage and collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, implement functionalities that fulfill business needs, and drive adoption
  • Organized and self-managed with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly and effectively communicate technical information
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that may have short turnaround times on delivered projects
  • Other Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in biotech industry working within a GxP environment
  • Experience with business intelligence and data visualization tools (JMP, Prism, Looker, QuickSight, etc)
  • Degree in Biology or understanding of molecular biology, molecular cloning, T cell therapy, and immunology
