Senior Security Engineer, Information Security & Networking (2310-R-830-IS)

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

The Senior Security Engineer will play a key role in executing and supporting all enterprise-wide information technology security programs and initiatives. This individual will be responsible for performing all functions required to support day-to-day data security operations, including but not limited to, supporting and maintaining a broad suite of information security infrastructure, identifying and tracking security issues, monitoring compliance, coordinating investigations, and reporting of security incidents to IT leadership and key business stakeholders. In addition, the position will help draft and implement new policies and procedures that protect ArsenalBio’s digital assets.

What You Will Do:

  • Monitor and detect threats, including viruses, malware, phishing attempts, and other suspicious activities in the ArsenalBio environment.
  • Create documentation of event or incident reports and discovered vulnerabilities.
  • Lead the process to analyze logs and alerts and to search for trends in the environment across our data centers and on the WAN.
  • Mitigate any deficiencies or discovered risks and inform leadership of any necessary actions required.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of CASB and MSSP solutions and own these applications and services.
  • Participate in annual cybersecurity and penetration tests, and remediate any findings identified.
  • Develop plans to regularly perform and analyze enterprise-wide security tests and reviews, as well as incident response plans.
  • Participate in the development of security policies and review processes (risk assessment, mitigation and action plans) for both existing and proposed systems within the ArsenalBio environment.
  • Participate in the implementation and maintenance of programs to ensure education, awareness, understanding, and adherence to established cybersecurity policies and procedures.
  • Develop and publish metrics and dashboards demonstrating the state of ArsenalBio’s security initiatives and incident activity.
  • Liaise with other business stakeholders and external auditors to articulate the organization's security strategy, policies, data classification, educational initiatives, and response plans.
  • Partner with the infrastructure team on network operations improvement projects.
  • Maintain the company’s overall security posture in alignment with changing global trends.

  • What You Will Bring:

  • Comprehensive understanding of internal auditing, internal controls, and risk management.
  • A strong working knowledge of network architecture, both traditional on-premise and cloud technology (AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Strong experience supporting a diverse set of SaaS applications.
  • Experience with SSL certificate management, Single Sign-On.
  • Experience in IAM, KMS, permissions, roles, firewall rules in cloud platforms.
  • Experience with different authentication and encryption technologies.
  • Experience with Firewalls, WAF, IPSec VPN, Endpoint Protection and Response (EDR), DLP, SASE/CASB, SIEM tools, Cryptography methodology, WiFi security etc.
  • Experience working with outside audit firms and IT consulting firms.
  • Communication and collaboration skills with an ability to effectively manage and influence stakeholders in a matrix environment.
  • Good judgment and decision making ability appropriate for the organization.
  • Results-driven approach, ability to take initiative and ownership to accomplish work.
  • Strive for continuous improvement and embrace innovative ideas in daily work.

  • Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science/ Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
  • Certification in one of the major firewall products preferred
  • Certification in one of the cloud security specialties preferred
  • Certification in CISA (certified information systems auditor), or CISSP (certified information systems security professional) preferred
  • 4-8+ years of experience executing or leading corporate information security initiatives and vulnerability assessment efforts
  • Familiarity with well-known cybersecurity frameworks such as CIS and NIST
  • Demonstrated knowledge of data center operations, security, disaster preparedness/recovery, incident response and mitigation, capacity planning
  • Strong understanding of SOX (Sarbanes Oxley), GAMP5, and 21 CFR Part 11
