ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. This role reports to the CFO. You will have the opportunity to build a finance function from the ground up and have direct ownership of all centralized FP&A processes including the annual budgeting, financial planning, reporting, analysis, and monthly forecasting. You will be responsible for owning key financial and KPI reporting including weekly and monthly business reviews, board presentations, and other financial reporting.
The qualified candidate will be proficient in budgeting systems and overseeing budget forecasting and long-range planning processes. A forward-looking, business improvement-minded, systems-savvy finance professional is highly desired. We are looking for an individual with a strong work ethic and track record of building strong relationships across the organization, and willing to lead strategically while rolling up their sleeves to get the work done.
What You Will Do:
The leadership of financial forecast and planning processes, including process management, communication, and reportingOwnership of management financial reporting including Board decks, annual budget, and weekly and monthly business reviewsEconomic analysis of strategic partnership dealsOwnership of non-financial reporting, including company dashboards and KPI trend analysisStrong partnership collaboration with Accounting to ensure timely and accurate financial reportingEnsure the use of appropriate tools and skills to create visually impactful slides for executive and Board-level presentationsBuild and own systems and processes to increase productivity and accuracy of the FP&A teamBuild and maintain FP&A calendar and assist leadership in communicating budget/forecast process to the organization.Develop KPIs to support financial awareness and fiscal responsibility.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field15+ years of FP&A experience with at least 5 years in Corporate FP&A, preferably in the biotech/pharma industryExcellent financial modeling, analytical, problem solving, and system skills prior experience as a financial leader in a private and public company is preferred, but not required.Excellent leadership skills, with a track record of building, leading, and inspiring high-performing teams in a fast-paced, start-up environment.Ability to manage multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of precisionProven ability to proactively identify and solve problems and continuously improve FP&A processes.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to translate financial analytics into clear and insightful recommendationsSystems-savvy with experience managing budgeting systems and reporting tools; systems implementation experience and knowledge preferred.Flexible and adaptable to a growing and dynamic organization with its frequently changing needs and priorities.Excellent leadership and influencing skillsHands-on and eager to contribute and grow with the companyExceptional work ethic
