Senior Research Associate/Scientist I - Cellular & Molecular Immunology

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.  Our people are our greatest asset, they bring scientific talents in molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, protein chemistry, computational biology, automation, genome engineering, software and other fields to make the future happen now.

We are seeking two organized and motivated Senior Research Associates or a Scientist I to perform laboratory-based experiments in the area of T cell immunology and cell therapy within our Discovery Research team. The ideal candidate will work closely with our lead scientists to design and perform experiments to screen for our next-generation cell therapy products. The successful candidate will work closely with various teams within ArsenalBio, in a matrixed environment, to coordinate tasks and prioritize projects to meet deadlines. 

What You Will Do

  • Employ viral and non-viral approaches to engineer T cells with desired functional outcomes
  • Plan and execute in vitro experiments to evaluate efficacy and function of new products
  • Assist in developing new technologies including genetic and epigenetic screening platforms as well as custom single cell (10X) and bulk NGS sequencing workflows
  • Work closely with scientists to coordinate complex experiments
  • Assist cross-functional activities including hand-offs to various teams, compiling data, and presenting at project meetings
  • Stay up to date with current literature related to the scope of ArsenalBio’s research focus
  • What You Will Bring:

  • Enthusiasm and excitement to work with cutting-edge technologies
  • Bachelors or Masters in Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, and/or Immunology with 2+ years of relevant research experience in T cell biology and molecular biology; knowledge of NGS technology is a plus
  • Phd Required for Scientist I
  • Proficiency with basic molecular biology skills including cloning and PCR is required
  • Experience in human immune cell isolation and/or mammalian cell culture techniques
  • Expertise in T cell-based assays including proliferation assessment, cytokine/chemokine analysis, cytotoxicity
  • Experience with multi-color flow cytometry including panel design and data analysis required
  • Experience in working with lentivirus production and transduction is desirable
  • Proficiency at using data analysis tools such as FlowJo and GraphPad Prism
  • Ability to quickly adapt and learn new skills for changing research priorities
  • Flexible mind with the ability to think outside the box, creative approach to problem-solving
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment, coordinate tasks across multiple projects to meet deadlines
  • Willingness to accept other responsibilities outside of initial job description
  • Exceptional organizational skills, record keeping and interpersonal communication skills (verbal and written)
