We are seeking a Senior Research Associate or Scientist to join ArsenalBio’s Binder Discovery team and lead efforts in generating antibody binders for engineered synthetic receptors and developing new technologies & capabilities as a part of our efforts to develop and commercialize curative immune cell therapies.
What You Will Do:Perform binder selection campaigns against protein targets from large synthetic libraries.Characterize binder candidates via ELISA, flow cytometry and/or other in vitro assays.Maintain an electronic lab notebook, ensuring experimental methods and results are recorded timely, accurately, and consistently.Manage own work to accomplish assigned objectives.Under the direction of a manager, execute high-quality, well-controlled experiments. Summarize experimental results and review conclusions with project leaders. Communicate with project leads about project status, significant findings, or critical problem areas.
What Will You Bring:For Senior Research Associate level: Bachelors or Masters in molecular biology, protein engineering, or a related discipline with 3+ years industry experience.For Scientist level: Ph.D. in molecular biology, protein engineering, or a related discipline with 0-2 yrs industry experience, or Masters with 5+ years experience, or Bachelor with 7 + years experience.Direct experience with in vitro protein display systems (e.g. yeast, mammalian, or phage display).Hands-on experience with basic techniques in molecular biology and mammalian cell culture.Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsStrong analytical ability with excellent attention to detail. Ability to recognize and resolve basic problems encountered in standard procedures.Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity and deliver high-quality results.Being self-sufficient but also contributing actively as a team player.
Preferred Skills:Working knowledge and experience of antibody characterization methods, including BLI (Forte-Bio Octet), SPR, flow cytometry, are desired.Working experience of antibody library design and construction.Working knowledge of NGS technologies and workflows.Working knowledge of high-throughput antibody selection (e.g. semi-automated panning on the Kingfisher system) and high throughput screening processes.Experience in performing data analysis with R/Python, FlowJo, Prism, etc., is a plus.
