Bold ideas. Reliable data. World-Class Science.

Designing therapies to cure our most important health challenges requires the audacity to advance a bold idea and explore new biologies with world-class science.

By pushing at the frontiers of science, challenging what we think we know, and holding ourselves to the highest standards of irrefutable proof, we are reshaping the future of curative cellular therapies.

Senior Research Associate, In Vivo Translation (2205-N-615-IV)

ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer.  Our products are being designed to herald the transition of adoptive cell therapy from a hospital based treatment to outpatient therapy, like most other cancer treatments.

Our people are our greatest asset, they bring scientific talents in molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology, protein chemistry, computational biology, automation, genome engineering, software and other fields to make the future happen now.

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Research Associate to support our preclinical in vivo pharmacology and translational science at ArsenalBio. Substantial expertise with human tumor xenograft models, tumor volume analysis, BLI-imaging, intravenous dosing, as well as in vivo adoptive cell therapy is highly desirable. The successful individual will work with teams to design and perform studies for in vivo efficacy, candidate selection, flow-cytometry-based PK, and ex vivo pharmacodynamic discovery research.  The successful candidate will work closely with discovery researchers to support target discovery and next-generation adoptive cell therapies. In addition, the successful candidate will support in vivo assays necessary to support product development and regulatory filings for pivotal clinical studies. This role requires an individual with outstanding self-initiative, data analysis, and communication skills.

What You Will Do:

  • Support the pre-clinical In Vivo Translation core team utilizeing tumor xenograft models for discovery and IND-enabling studies for CAR-T adoptive cell therapy.  Model development to support MOA and TME discovery science as well as pharmacology efforts to advance projects as required.
  • Responsible for collection, analysis and interpretation of experimental data
  • Design and perform rodent dosing studies, in vivo candidate selection, blood and tissue sampling, flow-cytometry based PK analysis, surgeries and isolation of tumor infiltrating CAR-T cells for MOA as required
  • Support product development and regulatory filings for pivotal clinical studies
  • Manage internal resource allocation and external collaborations
  • Responsible for working with team members to draft animal protocols and then coordinate studies with cross-functional teams
  • Participate and present data during internal research
  • Follow laboratory safety guidelines and practice

  • What You Will Bring:

  • B.S./Masters in oncology, immunology, biotechnology or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Strong background in tumor biology, immunology and in vivo tumor model development including human xenograft models and development of novel models to solve MOA
  • Extensive hands-on experience with all aspects of running tumor models
  • Experience with various tumor models to demonstrate mechanisms of action, including tumor growth curves, FLOW-cytometry and RNA endpoints
  • Experience working with immune-oncology antibody or cancer adoptive cell therapy is highly desired
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting, organization, and planning skills, and the ability to work under timeline in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • ArsenalBio prioritizes the providing of a safe and healthy workplace that is consistent with COVID-19 public health guidance and legal requirements.  In order to protect our employees and visitors, we require all visitors (including candidates) and employees to present proof of being fully vaccinated against COVID-19 when coming onsite.

We are committed to hiring the best talent from diverse backgrounds. A diverse workforce engenders richness of thought, creativity, and discovery. We invite individuals who embrace intellectual achievement to bring their unique personal and professional journeys and together we will build transformative cell therapies for cancer patients.

ArsenalBio was formed by its investors and scientific founders to discover, develop and commercialize curative and safe cellular therapies for patients with life threatening diseases, initially cancer.

We believe the most productive and secure route to achieving this goal is to build scaled platforms of technologies challenged with scientific questions to yield informative data from hypothesis driven, well controlled experiments. These data will inform the design of ambitious, best-in-class, lead compositions. Our leads will be rigorously evaluated and honed until we are convinced our matured leads, called development candidates, can be prepared for testing in needy, and vulnerable patients.

Our products will be designed to speed the transition of cell therapy from hospital-based to outpatient treatments, increasing access to more patients at lower cost to patients, health systems, and insurers.

To achieve this mission, we are building diverse teams of talented, curious, and caring individuals who believe in our mission and our vision to be sustainable in our business plan, our work habits, and our personal lives.

Our values create: a foundation for mutual respect, an engaging harmony from many voices, and unselfish behavior to aid our colleagues.

    This is ArsenalBio.
