ArsenalBio’s mission is to develop efficacious and safe cellular therapies for patients with chronic diseases, initially cancer. We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Research Associate/Scientist to support the preclinical in vivo pharmacology and translational sciences with the Pre-Clinical Pharmacology group at ArsenalBio. Reporting to a Senior Scientist, the successful candidate will work with teams to design and conduct key in vivo studies and communicate experimental data to support the progress of multiple internal and external collaborative research programs. This role requires an individual with outstanding self-initiative, data analysis, and communication skills.
What You Will Do:Support the preclinical In Vivo Pharmacology team utilizing tumor xenograft models for discovery and IND-enabling studies for CAR-T adoptive cell therapy. Model development to support MOA and TME discovery science as well as pharmacology efforts to advance projects as required.Execute hands-on responsibilities including, but not limited to animal handling and restraint, administration via various routes, in-life measurements, clinical observations, sample collection and processing, and accurate data collection.Collect, analyze, interpret, and present data within the preclinical pharmacology group and across functional areas within our companyDesign and perform rodent dosing studies, in vivo candidate selection, blood and tissue sampling, flow-cytometry-based PK analysis, surgeries, and isolation of tumor-infiltrating CAR-T cells for MOA as requiredSupport product development and regulatory filings for pivotal clinical studiesOversee studies and/or operations performed at contract research organizations (CROs) as needed
What You Will Bring:Ph.D. in oncology, immunology, biotechnology or related field with 0-2 years relevant experience, or Masters with 5+ years experience, or Bachelor with 7 + years experience.Strong background in tumor biology, immunology and in vivo tumor model development including human xenograft models and development of novel models to solve MOAExtensive hands-on experience with all aspects of running tumor modelsExperience with various tumor models to demonstrate mechanisms of action, including tumor growth curves, flow-cytometry and RNA endpointsExperience working with immune-oncology antibody or cancer adoptive cell therapy is highly desiredDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environmentMust have excellent troubleshooting, organization, and planning skills, and the ability to work under timeline in a fast-paced environmentExcellent written and oral communication skills
