We are seeking a Flow Cytometry Core manager to support the Operations and Research and Development teams as a part of our efforts to develop and commercialize curative immune cell therapies. The successful candidate will work in a highly matrixed organization across all ArsenalBio discovery, technology and development programs and be primarily responsible for the daily operation of flow cytometry analyzers and sorters, adherence to good laboratory practice, maintenance of instruments, enforcement of standards for laboratory safety (EHS), and maintenance of a safe work environment.
What You Will Do:
Wearing your Flow Cytometry hat:
Be ArsenalBio’s in-house Flow Cytometry expert, owning and optimizing all cytometry workflows
Assist with and contribute to data generation across discovery and development programs
Work closely with our Operations and Automation teams to enable robust and efficient workflows
Enable and enforce adherence to best cytometry practices, including the implementation of QC procedures to maintain data quality across a fleet of instruments
Be an EHS Steward by working with the Lab Manager to ensure all required safety trainings pertaining to BSL2 activities are completed by cytometry users
Wearing your General Operations hat:
Develop, coordinate, and ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for a large and varied group of lab usersProvide a positive Flow Cytometry Onboarding experience for new users
Coordinate with Supply Chain to ensure availability of Cytometry reagents
Perform daily laboratory maintenance procedures for Cytometry equipment
Any other miscellaneous tasks to improve operational efficiency in the labs.
Wearing your Equipment Engineering hat:
Establish SOPs for all cytometry equipment and lead training prior to new employee usage
Maintain all of the lab equipment in accordance to vendor specificationsCoordinate repairs, IOQ, PQ, PMs with Vendors and lab users as necessary
Establish laboratory equipment scheduling workflow and maintain laboratory equipment inventory
Make CapEx recommendations for high utilization equipment
What You Will Bring:
4+ years of relevant flow cytometry and flow core management experience:
Experience with wide variety of cytometry instruments from common vendors (BD, Sony, ThermoFisher, Sartorius, Cytek) including BD and Sony cell sorters, spectral high-parameter analyzers, and high-throughput instruments
Experience in BLS2 labs with complex automated laboratory equipment
Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to quickly learn new skills and knowledge on the job, demonstrate productivity, and deliver high-quality results
Proficiency in FlowJo as well as GSuite and other productivity tools.
Great Customer Service:
Excellent teamwork, collaboration, and an ability to resolve conflicts within the lab across various users and teams.
Ability to multitask as needed in a start-up environment.
